About
Francisco Seoane Pérez is assistant professor in Political Communication at the Faculty of Journalism, University of Castilla-La Mancha. In 2011 he completed his PhD in Communications Studies at the University of Leeds (UK), on the so-called 'EU communications gap'. He holds an MA in Communication from the University of Illinois at Chicago (2006), where he studied with the support of the Fundación Pedro Barrié de la Maza. His MA thesis was a study on the role of the Internet in the self-recruitment and engagement of political activists during a Democratic Party primary election campaign in the 6th Congressional District of Illinois. A graduate in Journalism from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2001), as a communications researcher he has participated in European and national projects in the area of political communication.
